Known to be at the bottom of the boba food chain in California, Quickly is actually pretty darn good in NY. What makes the one in Chinatown even better is that it offers Shabu Shabu too!! Thats like…having a steakhouse in a stripclub! Wait…apparently one of the best steakhouses in New York IS in a stripclub….go figure.

Anyways, I came here not expecting much, especially after seeing the menu and learning you could get a personal hot pot with 2 types of meat, veggies and noodles, plus any boba drink for $13.95. It reminded me of the time I went to a $10 all you can eat buffet in Reno and got a plateful of primerib; it was still a platefull when I left. Here however, I was impressed with the quantity, quality and presentation of the food. Although laden with MSG, all very good for the price. Maybe it was the 3 degrees F weather outside, but Quickly, you’ll definitely see me again.
