Right after I wrote the post on Chapeau! (which means hat in French), I get the worst haircut of my life. Not funny. This time, I googled Minca and nothing turned up so I think I’m ok.

For all you ramen lovers, there is nothing like Minca ramen in the States. Minca pays homage to the hearty style ramen of Western Japan. Hard, al-dente noodles, mounds and mounds of fatty meats and thick, collagen-filled broth. You’ll never see another bowl of ramen with more fatty pork. It’s the ramen you want when you’re starving or looking for a hearty meal. It’s also the perfect dish before a not so sober night out. Both of those mean that I’ll be coming back again and again.

Is it the best ramen in town? Yes, but it has its faults. The soup and flavoring can be inconsistent. Give me a bowl of Minca chashu ramen mixed with Ippudo’s broth and here’s a challenger to Japan. Oh yah, and what’s with only having two types of beer damnit?!
