Ok, I found it. My sushi kick has been satisfied. This will now be my most frequented restaurant in NYC. Hands down, no question about it. Dear readers, you will NOT find another place with such hi quality sushi for even twice the prices they charge here. Get the $35 Sashimi and Sushi Combination platter (comes with half a roll and toro tartare) and get ready to be in heaven. The luscious massive chunks of sashimi will melt all your sins away, the toro tartare will make you say “oh God”, and while the spicy tuna roll will try to kick your sinful self out of your nirvana, your head will still end up in the clouds. Yes, it’s that good, especially for $35.
I’m sure you can get even better sushi if you’re willing to pay the $200-$500 those places charge in NY, but this place will keep me happy (and my wallet)…forever. Now, unfortunately, this place is no secret. To enter this sushi heaven you’ll have to wait patiently in the hour long lines. Unless you come right before it opens on a weekday, you’ll have to wait your turn even at 9pm on a Wednesday. Don’t be surprised if somebody famous is at the table next to you. They are all regulars. God speed my dear readers, go get a taste of heaven.
